Jen Hatmaker on Rebuilding & Reinventing Yourself After Heartbreak
Whew! What a week I just had.
For one, I turned 70 on Thursday. Thank you, God! And thank you to those of you who sent a birthday wish or stopped me to say hello.
I traveled to New York City this past week and felt joyful getting the chance to meet and interact with many of you. I enjoyed hearing your stories of rising, falling, and rising again. I also enjoyed your stories of defying age and ageism. People who keep going are my kind of people.
I had a lot of other joyful moments on the road this week as well. I got my very first billboard in Times Square, celebrating my work as a brain health warrior and for being named to the Forbes 50 Over 50 list. I also got to gather at a celebration with some of the other incredible Architects of Change who made this list—as well as with hosts Mika Brzezinski, Huma Abedin, and Maggie McGrath. We spent time together talking about our purpose, self-worth, value, and aging. I felt in my mission—and in my zone—in this space.
