Help me to practice balancing in a world filled with ceaseless motion. Give me the strength to not put on blinders to all that is wrong in the world. Instead, let me make a meaningful difference as I move forward from my peace.

Dear God,
Give me the courage and the strength to be a cycle breaker. Wherever there are destructive patterns that need changing—be it in my life, in my community, or in our nation—help me be brave enough to rise up, speak up, and take a stand for doing better.

Dear God,
As I look around this morning at everything you've created and gifted us in this world, I realize that all of it matters. To pause and appreciate everything in front of me is a reminder of what it feels like to be fully human. Help me to feel alive and value every waking moment.

Dear God,
In this world filled with noise and pain, help my heart and mind to find peace and quiet. From that rest, give me the strength to stamp out hate and usher in healing. Remind me to put down the weight of aloneness whenever it arrives and see the bravery within me.

Dear God,
People around us are hurting and struggling. We can see it and we can feel it. Maybe we are even hurting inside ourselves. Please help us find a way to listen to one another, nurture one another, and recognize that our individual suffering leads to collective suffering. Help us heal together.

Dear God,
Please help me feel the full weight of my emotions and not be afraid of them. Allow me to embrace the good, the bad, the highs and the lows that life presents and appreciate the lessons learned along the way.

May I embrace this new week with possibility. May I see it as a new beginning and a chance to rise again.

Thank you for the holiness that’s all around me. You’ve created so many things that are worthy of being celebrated. May we all slow down and appreciate them for what they are.
