The Best of Humanity
The images out of Turkey and Syria this week have taken my breath away. More than 20,000 people have died and thousands more have been injured. People have lost their entire families, and I can’t even imagine what that must feel like or how one moves forward after that. (We’ve included a list of relief organizations below that we’re supporting and that you can support as well.)
It’s a lot to fathom, and the images coming out of that region are devastating. But through the destruction, there was a light that shined as well. That light came from the heroic acts of those working to save the lives of family members and total strangers. Yes, the worst of nature was on display. But so was the best of humanity.
