The quiet of the morning has become a familiar theme in my writing, and this week I was reminded once again why it matters so much to me. The past few weeks have somehow felt louder than ever in our country. And the moment we pick up our phones or turn on the news, we just get swept into the noise. It’s become so much that it’s almost impossible to think or even notice how one feels when you’re caught up in it. That’s why the calm of early morning feels so essential. For me, it’s the only time I can clearly write, dream, pray, and find inspiration.
