Eric Liu's Love for Country Inspires A Renewed Commitment to America and to Each Other

Eric Liu is the founder of Citizen University, an organization fully dedicated to the idea of democracy that works to "equip civic catalysts with the ideas, strategies, and spirit to build a culture of powerful, responsible citizenship in cities across the country."

Given the current climate of division and unrest, Eric is calling on everyone in the country to re-commit to the idea of civility and engagement and has provided a program to do just that: Sworn-Again America. "The Sworn-Again America Oath helps us recommit to being useful to our community and our country," says the Citizen University website. The program insists that our purpose as Americans "comes to life when we demonstrate our belief in our democracy and in one another."
