Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson Inspired Us All With Her Love of America, Honor for Those Who Came Before Her, and Heartfelt Message to Young People

These words, spoken by Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first Black woman nominated to the Supreme Court, have forever imprinted on our minds here at The Sunday Paper.
As we watched the hearings, our hearts have grown over both this historic moment and Judge Jackson’s unending love of country. She has exhibited grace, stoicism, and strength in the face of aggressive questioning, and gumption. Her words of impact and hope are exactly what our nation needs today.
We were also bolstered by the swell of support for Judge Jackson. Senator Cory Booker’s words of affirmation felt like a raft on water: “You have earned this spot. You are worthy. You are a great American.” And seeing Judge Jackson’s daughter, Leila Jackson, watch her mother proudly is reason to believe.
