Our Yippee! Moment of the Week
In his new film, In the Heights, the talented Lin Manuel Miranda, a father himself, sheds light on the vibrant New York City community of Washington Heights. Yet despite Miranda's intention to fully represent the community, some people voiced that they didn't feel fully seen or represented in the film. Miranda acknowledged this and vowed to 'do better.” Yippee! to Miranda for his willingness to listen, to acknowledge those who didn't feel seen, and to commit to learning more.
